Handsome son Looks to be about the same age as my oldest boy. I love to see igs being "lap-dogs" like that. It shows they are more that just "scaley-cold creatures" as my mother calls them.

LOL @ Tesa... my mom's trying pretty hard to love her newest grandbaby... it's not the green part, it's the scales. She hasn't learned how to cuddle Gil yet.

I think ig people are the best! I love your pic, ig_daddy, and the pic of your son and ig together is wonderful. How old is your ig, how long have you had him and so forth. I've been away from our board and have so much catching up to do. I want to say it again tho, I think Ig lovers are the BEST

We have had her for 2 1/2 years. She has never bit, tail-whipped, or scratched us deliberately. It's a good thing, too, since we don't trim her nails!

If I am wearing long pants, Iggi will come up to me, and climb up my leg, and side, to get onto my shoulder. If I am wearing shorts, she will come up, look at my legs, and then jump up, and catch hold of my shorts, and climb up without clawing up my legs. The only time she really gets me, is when she is on my shoulder, and wants to turn around, and she puts that L O N G back toe right into my ear, and pushes her 8.2 pound body! Ouch!

This is because we have raised her not as a pet, but as a daughter, for 2 1/2 years. After 2 1/2 years, as far as human duaghters go, she still looks like an iguana. However, as far as iguanas go, she acts like a human daughter. Because of this, she does not bite, tail whip, need a leash, and is good around strangers. In fact, she trys NOT to hurt us. She knows our skin is thin and scratches easily. (See my reply above to JMan). She has LEARNED, on her OWN, how to mimic the affection we show her. She will grab my wife's shirt, and pull her down to her, and nuzzle her chest. This is pretty amazing when you think that wild iguanas only touch each other to mate, or fight, or maybe if they are really cold. It's all in how you raise them.
