The above cage is very good looking.
It looks like you have enough hard climbing ramps and such. You could nearly finish the cage off with hamocks and ropes. I have become a huge fan of hamocks and stuffed climbing vines. So I have been pushing those of late.
I am designing another cage right now about the same size as this one -- I have to cage Bob soon -- thanks for the pics.

;D Ty mark!! We got the doors done today we put on screening for now because baby doesnt stay in there as i thought he wouldnt anyways we had stapled a sheet up but ha ha ha 2 me for he got out, its getting changed in 3 weeks the latest going to plexiglass which is so expensive (will cost us about 75.00) !! In that time i will b going to get plants, green carpet to just go over the 3/4 shag carpet already in there for some softness and cushion etc. Im figuring maybe another (75.00-100.00) The bulbs for the shop light that isnt in the pics yet but it is all hooked up just not hanging and the other heat light and dome fixture.$125.00 Okay and at the bottom we have news paper over the floor its not wood cant think of it reg kitchen flooring LOL ;D? And a Liter pan with water and the humidfier we r getting in 3 weeks too. We also have the thermostat with the 3 readings hot, cool and humidity. Okay if anyone can think of cheaper things or anything, plants things to make at home PLEASE PLEASE inform me about it!! Im not trying to b cheap just i dont know maybe then i am i dont know just been expensive so far!! I LOVE the wood but should have went with pressboard LOL for tesa!! The cage is 7 foot 4 inches long, 6 foot tall and 2 and a half feet wide(couldnt get it threw the door other wise LOLOL) so if u see where i can get a hammock because i did want one in there with the shelves let me know or the rope thingy im just not to sure what is too much as far as room for him??? I will be basically putting hanging plants in the coners and some dropping from the shelves. Any ideas im so open for some more. This is his last cage im thinking so i want him to b settled and he has been so content since the last 3 days he has moved. So thanks again!! EVERYTHING is so and always apprechiated!!

What are your doors made of? If you were able to staple screen to it here is an idea. Find a place that sells clear vinyl cloth. Jo-Anns has it and I have seen it at Wal-Mart. Get the heavier gage version of the clear "cloth" and enough thin dowels -- 3/16" or 1/4" -- to go around the opening of each door. Cut the cloth so that it is about three inches larger than the door opening on all sides and the dowles are one inch longer than openings. Fold the edge of the cloth over the dowel and staple through both layers of the cloth into the door. This is a slight adaptation of how I am building my entire cage soon. I will be sewing "sleeves" with holes in them to the panel fabric then sliding the dowels in the sleeve. The panel will then be tied to the frame around the dowel about every 8 inches. I use this clear vinyl cloth as my door and Bob -- 15" SVL male -- can't tear through it. I did not use this idea rather I have zipper sewn to it. I fill my cage with a lot of climbing options and Bob seems to love it. My theory stems form theater set design provide many circular paths. Have at least two ways onto each level or basking spot so you'r ig dosn't have to turn fully around to leave it. Other cages on this board look empth compared to mine, well Bob's. Mark

How did the doors turn out? How to hang the hamock: I used to have a wood cage made with luan for the side panels -- I have litterally cut 4 ft of this stuff with a mat-knife -- but this method works for hamocks and the like. Screw through the wall into a piece of scrap wood on the other side of the wall. The screw alone would pull out of the luan but the screw won't pull the block through the wall. In the below pics I wove some rope through plastic mesh to make the hamock which has screws right through the rope at all three corners. I have no clue how old these pics are but they have a created date in their properties -- when I scanned them -- of July 2000 so call them four years. Mark

;D Ty for the hammock thing!! LOL hubby said well we can do a piece of wood on the outside so i was laughing, its done and i used an old toy holder thing. I didnt think he was that heavy. He isnt crazy about it i think the idea wore out already. As far as the doors its another madison trip for u guys who dont know i live 2 hours away unless this little and i mean little hardware store will get in soon, we still just have half screening on there. He doesnt bother to come out and has stopped rubbing his nose and his body on it well not all true, When he comes down to eat or poop (yes and im so proud of him he has a certain stop that he poops in and just as he sees me writing this it wont b LOL) he checks it out but not like he was i thought OH MAN u little devil u saw tesa write that and now look at u! LOL He is quite happy with the cage fact, he is constantely in different places and the ramp i didnt think he could do well mommy cut his nails 2 days ago and PRESTO we r fine now When he does get to the bottom though he is like climbing trying to climb up the walls!! And i was wondering what everyone thinks about this water pan for him to b in he doesnt even bother with it but to drink and everyone would b amazed on HOW much he does drink im thinking i see him there like 15 times a day but his eating has gone down or maybe i feed him way too much and just think it does because in the glass cage he did that all the time, is it possiable that is ALL he had to do and now he has this whole cage? And for now im a stay at home mom so maybe its me but i give him fresh greens like 4-5 times a day and he gets em at 7:00, 12:00, and if he eats them at 12:00 i will fill em back up if not he gets em at 4:00 and then bed time is this a bad thing? When fed at 7:00 he is playing with me taking awhile to eat then eating like a few leaves when he use to come right down and get it and it most of it we wont even mention the bopping thing what is with that its a never ending thing (larry thinks he has been watching the cockateil too much) okay and then lunch is he BIGGEST eating time and then sometimes all gone and mom fills it back up, if he doesnt i just give him fresh ones at 4:00 and he usually eats em b4 bed but hasnt been eating much a few leaves and then i give him fresh ones again b4 bed and then in the moring he has maybe half left. Too much changing? BAD habit on my part. I just think they always feel flimbsezzee* (error in spelling) Let me know THANKS and i will let u know ASAP how the doors go i PROMISE!!!

Hi Jen, The head bobbing is a natural thing. He is just showing you that he has claimed his territory. The decreased appetite may be from the change as well. Is he showing any other signs of aggression or is it limited to head bobbing? Be aware these signs together can also signal breeding season. From your recent pics, it looks as though he is well adjusted to being handled, but do be careful. If he is entering breeding season he may turn into a hateful little cuss for awhile. Never think you are feeding him too much. He won't overeat. Keep the food coming as long as he cleans his plate. Personally I'd rather see mine waste a little bit than not have enough. You are doing a great job. Keep up the good work!

It's looking good, I'm wishing I hadn't wrapped my boards in carpet now.. that about doubled my carpet needs for no real reason. I'm paranoid about hammocks and anything dealing with rope. I was originaly going to use a hammock bridge to connect the upper and lower parts of my cage by I'm just afraid he might somehow get a nail or leg or neck caught in it like sealife with six pack rings.

Well Shaun we all have our unfounded fears. I hold much the same ideas with carpet as you with rope. Bob has taken to digging in one spot of my room and has shredded the carpet there. Unraveling carpet fibers and freying carpet fibers are not nice things in an ig cage. But I am not saying that you are wrong in using it, if is working for you and not harming the ig that is great. Carpet is also very difficult to clean.
