Since it was a nice day, Brian set out the kiddie pool for the lizards. He even set the water temperature to be lukewarm, by bringing out pots of hot water. Talk about spoiling the lizards!!! We couldn't put all 3 at once in. Yucca would have chased Daytona around in circles. Note: the lizards are never left unsupervised. They are very definitely spoiled! We have a kiddy pool, but it is inhabited by one pond frog...and Jeff put a log in there for him yesterday...the softy. Well...not really a log...more of a piece of large kindling used for the burn barrel.
Been yucky weather here. T-storms, flood warnings and just all around cloudy...but warm and very humid!

Yup, I'll be getting a kiddy pool soon they look to be having fun.
Are the Beardies fully grown? I don't know anything about BD's. Even though they have less green on them than Bob they look cool.

The dragons are adults ;D 5 years (m) and 4 years old (f) There are some really good sites for dragon information. groups.yahoo.com/group/pogona (see the introductory page for very good info. links) www.reptilerooms.comI enjoy my dragons alot; they are very good lap lizards. They'll potty in the shower, like Vega$; eat the same food as her (they also get superworms every other week -- I dont believe in giving them too much; not like it's an insect buffet in the wild!), quite hardy animals if well taken care of and no in-breeding. The females can clutchy multiple times in a year. Yucca seems like he's always in breeding season; chases poor Daytona around. The interaction between the two can be very interesting to watch, but I keep them separated (own homes) because I dont want to encourage breeding. Egging can be hard on the females. Yup, I'll be getting a kiddy pool soon they look to be having fun. Are the Beardies fully grown? I don't know anything about BD's. Even though they have less green on them than Bob they look cool. Des, while showing your pics to hubby Sunday I informed him that this was the type of critter that's next on my agenda for adoption. He just rolled his eyes at me. ;D dangit, I wanna get a kiddie pool but we have SO many free-roaming kids in the neighborhood... I think the girls are gonna have to suffice with being spritzed with a water bottle while we are basking.

My plan is get a tarp, put something under the edges to create a bank, lay it out and fill it -- one of the frats on campus does this to make a pool.
You can then control the depth of the sides so you don't make the ig feel like he is in a small tank and storing it is easy.
I use a tarp as the substrait in Bob's cage and cliped nails don't go through it.
(sorry I don't have my glasses on so I can't really see typos and mis-spellings)
Next to the iguana face the dragons almost look like they are smiling -- it would be kind of nice to have a pet reptile that does not get large.

It is nice that the dragons are lap size, and stays put. Yucca does the cutest scoot-n-shuffle. I'll lay him on my tum or lap, and he'll scoot about to get comfortable. Very cute wiggles. Daytona, she likes to be on higher ground. She'll daintly scale up to my shoulder, and she'll nestle against my neck and fall asleep.

Hey Des, you have me curious now could you post pics of the BD's cage(s). I have done little reading on them as Bob is enough of a handful but would like to see what an appropriate home for one is.
thanks
