MUCH better looking than that first picture!!!!! What a difference!! I do feel much better about that now. There is a big change you need to do for the substrate though. The bark needs to be removed before it causes an impaction issue. This stuff is notorious for killing many reptiles. I do keep one of the snakes on something close to this, but she's fed in a feed-box so she doesn't accidentally ingest this stuff as she eats her food. She's the only one out of everyone who has any kind of wood mulch substrate...and I have a few beasts. If you're looking for something that's eye pleasing you can always use the reptile carpet or astroturf. Get two pieces so one can be swapped out for the other on cleaning day. Newspaper is the easiest and cheapest though... ;D. You igs need to be within 6"-8" of the fl. tube UVB light. Using two different styles of UVB can lead to distance complications. I'm going to assume (since you have not given the detailed answers requested in other posts) - that one is also a compact or spiral UVB source. These require different distances and come with warnings. UV Guide <--"Special Report" PLEASE ANSWER QUESTIONS IN THE OTHER POSTS!!! You have no thermometer to monitor the temps. How do you know the 150W isn't too hot? I use a 150W in my large 6'x8'x4' ig enclosure and his basking area is where it should be. In such a small enclosure - you could be creating an extremely hot environment for them. At 105F an iguana can suffer permanent brain damage. In the smaller 75 gallon for the plated lizard - I use a 75W house bulb. It keeps his temps up to 93F. This should be all you need...but you won't know without the tools to monitor them. A digital indoor/outdoor thermometer will work well. PLEASE ANSWER QUESTIONS IN THE OTHER POSTS!!! So far - the issues pointed out here have been asked in other posts.

i do have a thermometer. How hot should the basking spot be? mine reads 120 degrees. is that ok? Since 90% of the time my igs are in the basking spot should the uvb light be there as well?

At 115 degrees this could kill your igs...and yes - the UVB should be there, too. Basking: 92-96 Ambient: 80-85 Cool end/night time: 75 for babies under a year, 70 for adults.
Did you go to the UV guide link above and read the "Special Report"?
