I have a question...I was reading how there might be a white, powdery substance marking terrtiory, and that males can do this at any age...well my ig, Camille, is about 6 months, and 6" SVL, 18" STL...I've seen multiple spots of this in the tank...do I have a boy? I just thought originally it might have been parts of pooy, because it always seems to be around her most recent relief. Let me know what you have to say...still too early, or good chance I mis-named Camille?

It almost certainly is dried urates. Don't rename her yet!

Yup, most likely dried urates, or possibly iggy snot. Under normal circumstances, the waxy substance from the femoral pores on males, isn't deposited in large enough quantities for anyone but an iguana to see.

Ok, cool....I like Camille as a name, and would prefer dealing with a female maturity than a male from what I've read. Thanks for the input.
