Can't tell from the picture if there is any bulges there and the femoral pores don't seem to have any waxy secretions. But the pores do appear a little larger than a female's but that in itself may not be enough. It may still be a little to soon to be able to tell by just looking at his/her features.

Hi Draco1 ;D I up-sized your pic a little so we can all get a better look at it. It looks like you might have a boy. But, the only thing that'll really be conclusive is whether or not he flashes his hemipenes right at the end of pooping.

I havent noticed any brain bumps but does that mean anything? I have some pics of his head. straight on shot. not sure that will help but let me know if i need to send another pic to help u all decide. i mean he may be too young to tell yet. i think he is about 1 year old.

Nope. Brain bumps, or lack thereof, don't always determine gender. Igs are tricky. The only way you'll know for sure is from what I said before. I know its kinda gross, but as an iggy parent, seeing the pooping will become just a normal, everyday, thing in your life. If your iguana looks like his "guts" are coming out right after he poops, then its definitely a boy. Its really the only way to know for sure. Also, if you have a boy who has reached sexual maturity...he might leave a little "surprise" in your hand.

In my experience, Sean is exactly right. Keep an eye out for his hemipenes, which will be easy to see if he poops in his bath It shoots out and has a little red in it. Then he retracts it. Also the little 'surprise' Sean so delicately mentions, is ejaculate which could end up on your shirt , in your hand, or anywhere else. Willie, most if the time, left it in the morning on his basking ledge. He started at about 18 mos and that's considered early. If you know Drako is 12 months, then I think it's too soon to know. I loved knowing Willie was growing up, I enjoyed the changes I saw in him, but it sure has it down side. I suggest just enjoying Draco for another several months. I'm begininng to believe that on a scale for meaness, the score goes up pretty quickly after 'puberty',

thanks all i will keep my eyes open. he is a real joy to have. has started to become pretty affectionate. i used to get him out of cage and he would thrash around and would eventually calm down but now he is fine with it all. i guess as far as sexing goes time will tell. it doesnt really matter either way i still love him/her. but will watch for signs that u all posted .
