My iggy's front feet and claws look terrible from all of the digging that he ois doing in the cornrers of his enclosure. I have soaked him in the tub and tryed putting neosporin on his toes but it seens that nothing that I do seems to help because he will not quit digging. The only way that I can get him to quit digging is to put a blanket over his enclosure to calm him down. We are going to the vet on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week for his final check up before it gets to cold to take him out. Maybe the vet will give him some thing to help his feet. and toes.

Tesa, I'm not sure but I think that maybe he is board with his encolsure and maybe it has gotten to small for him that is all that I cam figure out. Hopefully that will stop when he gets his new home.

Hello Debbie; It's possible that he might be a "she", and she's gravid. I would recommend a vet checkup.

Hey Ig_daddy, Well if I didn't know any better I would say the same thing...... but we know that Iggy is a male.
I think that part of the digging was because his enclosure was to small for him.
And well I think that he would rather be a free roamer all the time instead of when we let him free roam. ;D
And it may just be because we do have a new female in the house and he has an interest in her and her hates it because we will not let him get to her. She just came out of her season and she was full of eggs which she sucessfully absorbed.YEAH ;D
Another reason is because he is spoiled rotten! lol ;D
He has decreased his digging sence he got his new kingdom. You can see pics in the pics posting area.

;D
Is he digging at the enclosure like trying to get out....
If ya leave the door open will he find it and scoot right out ...or is it mor like trying to dig a hole in the ground?
I dont know ...might sound silly
But I would provide somthing softer to dig in....
Maybey just in the mood to do some digging....lol
at any rate some soil might cause less damage to the paws ,,,
at least until ya figure it all out...
