My name is jessica and I have an iguana named spanky. Our story is a bit wierd. My boyfriend got him about a year and a half ago. I was in school and never payed much attention to him. Then I graduated school, and since have been looking for a job at home. I never thought I'd be an iguana person, but since i have been home I have an unbelieve love and affection for him. I found the green iguana society (and now this site) and have done my best to learn as much as I can and give spanky a good life. And, Spanky is about a 1.5-2 year old, and a great iggy to be around. ;D

Welcome Jessica and Spanky!
That is an unusual story. I was the same way. Never considered myself a "Lizard" person. But, over time, I fell in love with Rex and now I spend a good portion of my life working on Ig related things, like this site and the GIS.
So glad to hear he's grown on you. Honestly, I still think I'm a bit "weird" for loving a Giant Green Iguana, but hey, he mine and I do love him very much.
Oh, Rambo (my 7mo rescue) is bobble-heading me for not mentioning him. He's up for adoption, but growing on me more and more everyday. I just love the difference in personalities between the two.
Rex is a sweet heart and so gentle. Rambo is a bit of an aggressive little tyke, but I enjoy the dichotomy.
Thanks for joining! Visit often and post frequently.
