Hello all! I have just recently come across this forum...and I like what I've read. I live in sunny Florida and have a houseful of animals. I have had reptiles for a number of yrs, but have only had my iggy for about a year. She(maybe) was just a baby when I got her so I'll say she's a year old. Boy has it been fun, not really because a month after her arrival my silly silly husband let her escape outside. But luckily the iggy stuck around the house. I managed to catch her after a month of freedom. So she has issuses....but with lots and lots and lots of handling she is calming down. We have our good days and bad. Anyway just wanted to say hello.

Hi Steph- Welcome to the Zone! Glad you found us. What a horrific and happy-ending story. A month outside, and only a baby! Holy cow, I can't believe you were able to re-capture her. I know exactly what you mean about "issues". Last July my 4yo male walked away from our yard. He was gone for 7 days. But, like yours he showed back up. He had some behavioral issues for a time, but his "wild" side subsided fairly quickly and he returned to his loveable self. He had about doubled his size though! I look forward to many posts, questions, comment and even concerns. We all love Igs and freely offer our advise and help when possible.

Thanks people, what a nice welcome! As for a name for the ig freak and spaz have been use but I'm waiting for that special name to come along that really fits the ig's personlaity. She's about two feet head to tail. She eats really well and escapes her tank on a daily basis to climb a tall ficus tree in her room. Lets see...we have a bearded dragon, 6 various aquatic turtles, 2 sulcata tortoises, 2 leo geckos, 1 female beta, a 2 70+ pnds huskies. Hi Steph, I'm a Stephanie Marie. Steph's rock. We'll be dealing with some "issues" tonite when we trim those razors attach to her feet...ow! Thanks for the great support. Questions are always coming up and I hope to be able to share my learned knowledge with everyone.
