i'm from california. the iguana is a green iguana. he/she has not been named because of unknown sex. he's 23 inches big, but may be bigger or smaller can't go in cage don't want to get tail whipped right now. the cage is 29 inches tall 30 inches wide at the front and 18 inches wide at the sides, and the cage is a converted chinchilla cage with a extra layer of smaller wiring so he doesn't get out. when we get a house which is soon I will build him a huge cage. he eats a lot of things we offer him a variety of food on a plate and let him choose so were not forcing him to eat something he doesn't want to eat. I've had him a year but he's about 1 1/2 to 2 years old. he's got a broken toe right now but he's got to go to the vet tuesday to get it fixed.

Where in California are you? I'm in the Central Valley. I'm glad you know that Psycho's enclosure isn't big enough... and I hope you get into a home soon so he can get in to a larger home too! FYI the smallest enclosure a full grown ig should be in is 4 x 4 x 6. Welcome to the Zone! Steph

Sorry Steph...but I gotta disagree with the cage dimensions... Even MK suggests a cage 6'T x 9'W x 3'D. The minimum should be at least enough to stretch out fully when basking. 6'T x 6'W x 3'D would be the minimum for a full adult ig. I used to live in CA! SF Bay Area to be exact... ;D

Sorry V. I think I read those minimums at the GIS site... my philosophy for in ig cage is always "bigger is better" ;D
