A trip to the Vet.. Eki style

Well the trip to the vet was fun and very new for all three of us together. Eki, me and my bf.

This is how he was acting when we first removed him from his clear tub with lid prison.. I mean carrier. =)


Then this what the room/table looked like. The reptile room was occupied so we were left with the rabbit and ferret room. hehe!




Eki needed some calming, he loves his neck rubbed. Instantly calms down.

Then after being wrapped in a towel and let go he panted for some time bearing his teeth for us to remember how big they really are..




Well there's his vet visit picts.. Ignore his nose, he likes to rub it in his pooh.. Nasty habit we can't seem to break... GRRR!

Poor baby. He sure doesn't look happy. He's got his "I can't see you so you can't see me" look. As for the poo thing. Is he trying to eat it or just play in it? In the wild this is how igs replace their gut flora. They eat another ig's poo. Do you use a probiotic every now and again for him?

No I don't Prism. His bloodwork came back very good. He's a very healthy iguana so the vet says. I've never seen him eat it. Just smeer it about alot.. =/

Aww...Eki is so cute. Poor guy. The scrunchy eyes say everything about what he was going through I'm glad to hear (from the other thread) that he's doing well though,

if you dont mind me asking, how much did the operation cost?

No operation. Just a single removal of an infected plug, doctor just scraped the plug cavity empty. $300 total.

We had everything done except, fecal scan, mouth swap and xray.

We did blood work and that all came back perfect!
