Well, it has been quite a while again since i have posted and it is with a very heavy heart that i post tonight. I am trying to find a good home for my Narcy. My mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer and there is a good chance she may be moving in with us. I just barely have the time to tend to Narcy as it is now, but with this new development in my life it really will make it even more difficult for me to tend to his needs. And right now, that is ALL i am doing, it just isn't fair to Narcy. His cage is also in the room my mom would move into and she is scared to death of him. I would like to find an experienced owner since he can be quite the cantankerous male. He is also large and his current cage is built in, so he would need a new very large cage. He is about 5-5.5' long and approximately 12 pounds, somewhat aggressive, but if you know his moods he has actually mellowed somewhat and can be dealt with. He even likes his neck rubs when he is all snuggled in for the night. I don't want to send him to a 'foster' home, but would rather he go straight to someone who will give him a permanent home. I am in Illinois, just across the river from St. Louis if there is anyone in my area who would be interested in giving Narcy a good home. He is a very beautiful ig, in good health, about 8-9 years old. If anyone is interested or knows someone who might be, please let me know and i will get my contact info to you. I'll check to make sure my email address is current in my profile as well.

I am so sorry to hear such bad news all around . I have read many posts about Narcy. I wish I could help, have you tried listing him on GIS? My heart goes out to you, your mom and Narcy. Try listing him on forum.forgottenfriend.org/ Its linked to a rescue in my area, however people from other states post there. Good luck, and my sympathy

Diane!! I'm so sorry life events have taken such a turn!! It's so difficult to do what's needed at times, but I do understand. I've been there myself lately. I wish the best for your mom and the change this will have for all of you. I don't have many contacts for Illinois. The pickin's have always been pretty slim there, but here is someone who MIGHT be able to help if they are still in operation: Paul Rothenbach Reptile Rescue IL Rescue License #10158 Sandwich, Il Phone:815-228-8426, Email: prothenbach@hotmail.comPaul has a B.S. degree in Zoology and many years experience in herpetological husbandry. I'll keep poking around for some others, but see if someone up there with a petfinder site may also offer you a courtesy listing. We do this often, but the animal is only allowed on one petfinder website. If listed on more than one it screws up the stats petfinder keeps tabs on. They shut down the offending sites who double list. If you would like to use one of our adoption applications for your own personal use I'm certainly willing to offer it to you. ((HUGS)) Diane!!
