This is just out of curiousity. Angus is not rubbing his wax plugs off anymore They are just getting longer (ick) Is he just not feeling like leaving his mark, or could it be because Venus has established the most dominant position in the house? Im not worried and nothing is wrong I was just curious as to why hes not dragging his legs and leaving his mark everywhere.

I don't have a male but I would imagine that the plugs don't have to rub completly off to do their job. Just dragging them around leaves a scent mark.

That's exactly right. Males don't rub them off. They just leave a mark kind of like a crayon mark. If you illuminated it with a poster black light you would see a trail even...ewwwe...but it's there.
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I've been flaky over the holidays.

Angus was letting his plugs get long, but sometime over the last 3 or 4 days he rubbed them flat. I love my little boy but those plugs are gross. LOL! My hubby picked him up one morning and got a handfull of semen plugs! It was hilarious ;D

Once they reach 18 months of age, and go into breeding season. Only the males get them and only during breeding season.
