just got me a new ig a couple of days ago......i have it in a 20 gallon long tank for the time being until i can design and build something to mine and the iguana's liking........whats a good thermometer to use???

A 20 gallon is way too small, even temporarily. You can not get proper temperature gradients in a tank that small much less enough room for Liz to move around. How big do you plan on making the new cage? You can pick up a thermometer from you local walmart or lowes for much cheaper than pet store prices, just make sure its a digital. Get one that measures humidity as well.

im not sure how big yet....gotta check with my girl to see how much space i can have....lol......head to tail Liz is about 24 to 28 inches long.......how big of a cage do you think i should go with??....so any digital thermometer would do from walmart???

The smallest cage should be about the size of a 50 gal tank. This is the minimum size you can have and still get the temperature gradients correct. Any digi thermometer from Walmart will do. That's what I use...:-)
