Welp this post confusses me!! You have had MANY IGGy's since you were 13.. And you would then trade them in for a better Iggy.. what are you saying here? And on the overall POST of IGUANAS bend to your lifestyle... NOT!! You have to work for the relationship that you EVER get with one of these guy's. And that can take up to 2 years or more to produce!!You don't just sit back and wait for one to come into your life that is calm.. So you have 3.. What are the cages that you have them in??

all 3 of my iguanas are in different cages. they dont get along together. the very small one is in a starter cage that my other 2 iguana use to stay in when they was his size, a 20 gallon tank. my med one is in a 150 gallon tank, the largest i have him in my large walk in closest that i costimized for him. i took off the wooden door and replaced them with glass door. i build in shelfs that i post heat emeters so i can keep the temp around 75 degrees. and around the heat emiters i have a mesh screen at a good distance all around it so they dont try and climb up and burn her self. i use my closest cause it is very roomy and i had a 2nd walking close in bathroom so i had the space to do it.

I meant to add in my above post that you are right in the fact that SOME iguanas do not ever become friendly but I don't feel that they are the majority..

So out of all the years you have kept Iguana's.. And letting them stay together as in the photos that you have submitted.. You have never seen a bad situation arise from it? Course the last I read on your post's was that you don't have them long enough to probably see that??? Are you planning on keeping these 3???

sincere2iguana-
Iguanas do not pick their owners. We pick them. If someone opts to home a non domesticated animal they should be expecting a bit of a challenge. There is no "lost cause" iguana out there. There may be extremely aggressive iguanas but it all depends on the handler. If someone is not prepared to be devoted to their pet then they shouldn't even get one because the results are homeless animals. That being said there are so many adoption centers out there that will make sure you get the right animal for your experience level and patience. Please don't roll the dice on Iguanas or any animals for that matter. Know ahead of time if YOU can get along with the Ig as again they don't pick us.
