Ok I have a iguana recovering from metabolic bone disease that I got from a bad owner( was using a regular light bulb for heat and no uvb and was feeding her iceberg lettuce I have proper lights on here and she is on a proper diet now) it isn't to bad she walks fine and everything but the vet said she had it and I need to get extra calcium into her and I have some calcium powder that I have for another lizard I got and wondering if I can use the 2:0 for the iguana to

It has D3 so I guess I got to go buy some 2:1

Good UVB.. Good diet.. If she/he has been diagnoised with the MBD.. then you do need to add a dusting of calcium to the food on a daily basis. As long as you have the UVB on it then the calcium dusting needs to just strickley be that.. None, with D3 added...

Yes!!! Just make sure it is not high in Vitamin A also. And I forgot to mention that only do this process on a daily basis untill you/vet sees good improvement from the situation at hand.. In other words.. Once you see improvement of the MBD.. Unless it is Breeding season.. Then Too Much calcuim can be just as harmful as not enough.. So if you get her on a good diet.. Lots of calcium and vitamins, fiber.. In the Greens and the Veggies.. Plus the UVB.. The MBD starts to turn around.. then at that point of time unless it is breeding season.. That calcium only needs to be added at the very least ,,once a week.. Along with a vitamin supplement..
