just depends on the iggie. it can range from one day- few months. have you try to hand feed him from the upper lvl? if he willing to eat from your hand, maybe you can lore him to the lower lvl where his food is.

How big is your Iguana? That size would be too small for an adult. Did you change the room that the Ig was in? They can get pretty finicky over just rearranging furniture

Brandon is right on the cage size for sure!! 6 tall maybe ok, but that 2 x 2 is not going to work. Another factor is how old is this guy?? When young they do not like change and do not like alot of open space. So if he is infact young then he will stay on that top shelf until he reaches an age that he feels not so threatened to venture about.. Try to intice him to move about a bit by putting his food bowl on a shelf that is just a tad lower than the top one.. Also include a big bowl of water.. Age seems to do a remarkable things for these guy's if they are handled on a daily basis, once adjusted to the new place!!
Keep at it!! Just get new sights on an adult cage for real!!

Hello,
I am a new iguana owner, my iguana got out of his enclosure last night and I can't find him in the house, he is about approx. 15 inches from head to tail tip, but small as he is a baby, any help someone could offer so I can locate him would be great as I am putting him in a much bigger enclosure.
