Hello from Alaska! My name is Katt and I am addicted to reptiles... ;D haha I have been reading around on here for a while and decided to register so that I could post. I am on Herp Center forums and have owned multiple different reptiles. I have had my iguana for going on 2 years now. She is about two years old give or take a few months. I got her from some very uneducated owners (ah Craigslist... ) and had to do some quick research. When I got her she was in a ten gallon tank with a single, small heat lamp, a rock hide, one little branch, a tiny water dish, and some iguana pellets. That's it... On top of that she had been terrorized by little kids, and escaped to be found first by their cat (she is now covered in scars and has 3 holes in her dewlap), had a few infections (from the cat attack) and had reportedly "froze to death" at one point....so they put her in the shower for 3 days and she "came back to life." I know right? Well, after hurriedly throwing together a cage, buying a MegaRay, and making a MAJOR diet overhaul, she is now healthy, happy, huge, and hateful. haha She absolutely hates people and socializing her to the degree that she is (which isn't much) has been a battle. I love her anyways though and she is very entertaining. I am in the process of building her a new cage now as her current one is too small (it is a lot better than 10 gallons though!). Meet Tito Rex! Eating Cleaning off the baby food lol A few weeks after she came home...

Hello and Welcome ;D congrats on saving her, she sure is beautiful Hopefully as she gets older she will calm down and allow you to handle her more but with mental scaring like that as a young iguana who knows, we can only hope for the best.
