Hey everyone! I am new to this website... ;D
Anyways, my iguana Oliver is housed in this cage i built him. Its dimensions are 2ftx4ftx4ft tall. It is all wood except the top is screen and the front is a thick vinyl plastic. I have had a hard time keeping the bottom of the cage warm enough so he would never even go down there except to eat. I then bought a heater from the hardware store, added a screen vent to the side of the cage and now its pretty warm in there during the day(somewhere around 90 degrees) The only problem with this is he never goes to the top level of the cage anymore to bask. He stays in the middle layer of the cage and i haven't seen him at the top very much so i am worried he isn't getting enough UV exposure. Any suggestions? this is my first iguana and I have only had him for 3 months

4 feet isn't too tall, if he is at 18 inches (foot and a half) from the light it should be ok. If not I would suggest repositioning the UVB light so its a bit closer : )
also, this is the picture section, there is a general section that would be better suited for the question but thank you for asking it is a good question/concern
