Hi Marissa! Welcome to IZ! ;D The first thing I have to ask is...have you checked with Bulgarian customs about what the rules are for bringing a reptile into the country? I'm sure you probably have...but just wanted to ask. Sometimes there's a mandatory quarantine period of several weeks. That amount of time on a drive is going to be difficult, but it might not be all that bad for your ig. The first thing you want to do of course, is to make sure that your ig is contained...just in case he freaks out, you certainly don't want those claws and teeth loose in the car when you're driving. Another thing you want to do is put him where he can see outside...but figure out some way to make it so people in other cars can't see him. Iguanas usually are freaked out at first by what they see outside the car...but pretty soon it'll fascinate him and keep him from getting bored. I say that you should try to make it so people outside can't see him, because an iguana is an unusual sight of course, and that will prevent someone in another car having an accident because they were looking at the iguana. This time of year, be very careful about putting him in a spot where there will be a lot of sun. Iguanas can overheat quickly in your car, so try to keep him in a shady spot. If he starts holding his mouth open, he's getting too hot, and you'll need to move him to a cooler spot. Good luck to you on your trip to Bulgaria! Iguanas are usually pretty good passengers, as long as you take the precautions above.
