Hello everyone, I am Dixon. I think I recognise some faces from around some other forums so hello again.
Well I am a complete iguana enthusiast, me and my family have rescued many, rehomed many. I am still called for by peeps to help assist them administer medcines and such, I am happy to offer advice to anyone local to me, which does happen alot.
I share what I grow with other local iguana keepers who are unsure how to start.
I have took part in much voluntry rescue work, and shown many keepers what wild foods are safe for their iguana companions to eat, worked in petshops and studied alot into the anatomy and wild life of iguanas.
I have done nothing but research for the last 12 years, me and my family have rescued other reptiles but mainly iguanas, for 20 years.
It kind of became a family thing. My aunt rescued them too.
Earlier on this year my last rescue iguana died, I then rehomed another iguana 18 months old.
I am happy to learn and share anything I might know.
So hello fello iguana enthusiasts, look forward to meeting all of you.

Welcome good to have you here. We've been slow around here (Ig Zone) for awhile but we still get those who have questions and want to share their stories/pictures of their iguanas. I'm sorry to hear about your last rescue iguana but I'm inspired to hear about your success in rescuing and re-homing iguanas That's pretty cool that it became a family thing, I've thought about doing that but we just don't have the room. Anywho, I'm Jenna; been a member here off an on again since 2004 and I have a 13 year old female iguana named Gwendolyn. Welcome to IZ

Hello and thankyou for the welcome, I will get around to posting some pictures up with sharing with you. No worries about the forum running slow. I have admined and moderated for a few iguana forums. I currently have a reptile one I just stated up and also moderate for another that just started up. A few years ago I admined for another iguana forum but alot of people were spouting misinformation and taking it as gospell so me and the owner took it upon ourselves to close the forum down for everyones benefit. Forums can run slow from time to time I don't have a problem with that, it just means I can actually keep up with recent posts.
