So I was feeding Turbo this morning at the table and I decided to sit down with him and drink a glass if OJ. When I put down the glass Turbo freaked out and jumped to the chair. I got up to get him then he jumped from the chair to the ground. As soon as he hit the ground the race was on. He went from the kitchen to the front door about 5 times before I decided I better grab a towel and put it over him. When I picked him up he was breathing pretty hard. I held him for ten minutes and he didn't move once. I think I'm going to make his food for now on and just put it in his cage. Also if he starts to run again what's the best way to calm him down. I really didn't chace him, I followed him, but he kept running. These things are FAST!!! After thinking about it it's kinda funny watching him run on lanoleum. I was sad though because he seemed so scared

Your story(similar to mine) is the reason I stopped taking spree with me to see her food get made. As far as best way to catch from what I have done is watch your ig and make sure you know it is. After that it will be much easier than chasing it down. At least in my experience

Never underestimate the little ones they sure are speedy. I haven't dealt with little ones escaping/running around like that before but I would suggest to stand back and let him calm down before slowly approaching to get him or if you have a blanket/towel near by then toss that on him if you can to slow him down. lol, eating breakfast with your iguana at the table? That's a new one to me ;D

Haha I saw a guy on YouTube letting his son eat at the table with it. The bad thing in that video was that both of them were eating Kix's cereal, but it was so cute. If you get a chance go to YouTube and type in buddy the iguana he has a few videos. He's a rhino ig.

wow, I just watched a couple and that family is a bit too relaxed when it comes to their kid and the iguana. That iguana looks to have an incredibly good nature but I wouldn't allow my kid (if I had one) to crawl/jump/run around an iguana like that. There were a couple times he gave a shudder bob warning but overall the iguana seems just like a member of the family I found it interesting that they had a green iguana (named Turbo) and a rhino iguana and that the green iguana preferred to be left alone more than the rhino. I don't know a lot about rhinos but I found that interesting.

That's funny that his green iguana's name was turbo. I too couldn't believe how relaxed that rhino iguana was. I think I might look into getting one after I have turbo. I have a lot more years to go I hope:)
