My iguana is so picky on what he eats, he only wants collard greens.. that's it, if I put a bowl with a mix of all the staple foods he will pick out only the collards greens and leave everything else to rot until I fill it once again with more collard greens... is this going to hurt him in the long run or?? It could potentially be harmful if he eats absolutely nothing but collards but I'm glad he chooses to eat only collards rather than something that isn't as healthy. Have you tried mixing in bananas, moist bits of wheat bread, or strawberries? My girl, Gwendolyn, LOVES strawberries. I would suggest to continue mixing in other kinds of greens with fruits/vegetables and making the collards either smaller pieces or put less collards in the dish so at least he will have to work for those collards if he continues to be picky. He might like dandelion leaves; my Gwendolyn loves dandelion leaves but she only ends up getting them when i am running low on collards/mustard greens so I go out to my yard and pick some for her. I don't use any chemicals on my lawn so I can just pick them right out of my yard -Jenna
