;Dhi,my name is linda, i am getting my first iggy very soon, my hubby and i have had many reptiles in the past we still have snakes and cresties, in the past we have had chams and our last beardie died about a month ago, but i have always wanted an iggy and i think it is time. to take the plunge i have been studying for at least a year we never buy anything without researching it first. iam looking forward to sharing my experience with you all. we are getting a baby from a local breeder we have asked for a red or somthing unusual we have a large viv for the baby months/ year we have a room for when he gets older

Well hello Linda, and welcome to Iguana Zone! : ) I'm glad to hear you've been studying up on iguanas! I became a member of this website long before I got my iguana, Gwendolyn. I had an iguana back when I was 11 or 12 and I did some research beforehand but I was much to young to really take on the responsibility and knowledge required. Are you going to get one that is old enough to tell the gender or are you going to get a hatch-ling and have it be a surprise? I hope you post some pictures when you get the little guy!
