I know you are not supposed to do it too much, otherwise they get dependant on it, one of those bad habits they can develop. Funny thing is Raz is aclimated enough so that he will do it. Just how much hand feeding is too much.
Raz eats a LOT for his size, enough so I notice a bulge on his sides, which sort of woried me a few times.....Which makes me wonder if iggys can over eat...
PS
I do hope to get a decent photo of him, but the lighting is kinda limited.

Hi RaptonX-
Hand feeding is a great taming tool. They look forward to the "treats" they get by hand.
So as not to spoil the Ig and still enjoy the close interaction hand-feeding provides, try hand-feeding only treats like fruits and only when you have a reason to. Sort of a reward for the Ig pooping in the right place or being particularly loveable.
All other food should be provided in a shallow container and left for them to eat on their own.
Hope this helps.

Hi Folks-
Make no mistake, an Ig eating out of your hands is a wonderful accomplishment! Means they are starting to trust you. But too much can effect habits.
Good for all of you who can have the Ig eat out of your hand. I remember when Rex did it the first time, probably 3-4 months into ownership. It was a day to celebrate!
Good luck!
