today while i was getting ready to go to work yoda decided to finally leave his/her home on his/her own, first time he ever did it. i was very excited but the problem was i had 15 minutes to get to work , so i had to try and catch him/her. while trying to catch yoda he/she decided didn't want to be caught. after chasing yoda around he/she ran and hid where i couldn't get him/her. i had to leave yoda but had my neighbor to check on yoda to make sure he/she got back in the home safely. anyways my question is you think yoda will come out again on his/her own? i feel because i chased him to get back in i may of scared yoda to try and leave on his/her own again. james told me not to worry but it's always nice to get second opinion . thanks again for welcoming me and james does say hi to you all

Zok will periodically go hide under the couch and then return to her cage on her own. However she doesn't seem to realize shes not an iglet any more and there is a long green tail sticking out! They frequently get very territorial about their enclosure and return. I would just leave access to the cage and see what happens. you might turn the a/c down a bit so Yoda doesn't get too cool.

Hi Dani, Now you stop that feeling guilty that you had to chase him! The lil boogar chose a bad time to do it. I doubt you traumatized him SO much that he won't come back out. My girl (like Merlin's Zok) will periodically come out of her house, snoop around awhile and then go back in. I've known her to do it 10-20 times a day. lol Maybe you could leave his door open, but then make it a point to have him all nice and secure a half hour before you have to leave. That way there's no last minute scramble to catch him. ;D

Hi Dani- Of course he'll try to leave again. LOL He has tasted freedom! Funny how they always do something new just when you have to leave. Today, I put Rex outside in his tree, he was a very bad boy in the house. I had to leave right away to take my son to Tennis lessons. I grabbed him from the yard and he let out this grunt. I was shocked and LMAO! He was telling me he didn't have enough outside time! LOL He fought with me the whole way across the yard until I headed for the truck. then he realized that he was going for a ride and settled back down. Crazy but he is! Yoda has now ridden himself of any fear of the "outside" world and will now more freely explore outside his enclosure. Aquarium??? My Lord, Yoda's Lair is anything but an aquarium! It's a slice of Ig heaven if you ask me. No wonder it took him so long to decide to leave. LOL
