Does anyone elses ig eat during the night? About an hour before lights out, I give Kyo a couple handfuls of greens for a bedtime snack. When I check on her at 10 p.m., she's sleeping and the greens are still there. When I turn her on in the morning, her bowl is empty. And how can I get her to understand that she can puff up and try to look as intimidating as possible, but it's hard to take her seriously with her breakfast all over her face (she's a mean one, all right! lol) Cyndi

How strange! Mines out light a light at 9 o'clock, an hour before his lights go off! He wont eat anything before bed either, just winds down and lies there watching us with one eye. He also sleeps like a rock, even if our lights are still on and the tv's on his fast asleep, you can even play with his feet and he doesnt wake up!!

With Zok lights out is,... well,... lights out! It would be very unusual for an ig to go down in the dark and eat.
Are you sure you don't have a mouse in there too? ;D

She used to go to bed about an hour before her lights went out, but since the longer daylight hours started, she does not want to go to bed. And she is up waiting for me in the morning, before her lights come on. I even put up room darkening blinds on her windows, but it hasn't done a thing. Do mice like mustard greens? My son loves them! He has been taking them out of the fridge. I wonder if he has sunk so low as to steal them from an iguana's dish lol (now there's a picture!)

Mice eat virtually ANYTHING! I put mustard greens in our salads myself from time to time. Poor boy! So mistreated that he has to steal food from the lizard!

Well, I guess I'll have to unlock his closet more often (he he he) The mustard greens do add a bit of a zing, don't they? Maybe I'll have to rig a camera in there or something.

Some igs do eat at night, though it's not really a practice I would let continue often. Improper digestion and all that rot. Babies seem to do this most often since they are so inclined to be lunch for someone themselves during the day. Zair is one of those super-pigs in the morning and grazes until about 2 hours before bed. Then he sleeps soundly in the night...so much so that I can easily trim his nails without a twitch...
