ok, even though Narcy has been pretty aggressive all year. . .i am pretty sure he is going into season again. He has become extremely skittish and agitated (hence the ripped out claw) and he is pooping all over his shelves!! it was also about this time last year that he went through his season, or began it anyway. I can only hope that this time it won't be as long as it was last year, and maybe he will mellow out more after. in any case, i guess i am along for the ride whether i am ready or not! oh yeah, he threw such a hysterical fit tonight that he has his tail bleeding now! he may not survive breeding season if he keeps up like this. . .

OUCH!!! Did he break the tip of his tail off? Herky did the same thing a few weeks ago...just COMPLETELY FLIPPED OUT and I still don't know why. He didn't attack anybody or anything...just went COMPLETELY NUTS for a few seconds. This is Herky's first REALLY HORRIBLE season, he's been in it for more than 6 months now...must be the whole "ig nino" thing Dom spoke of. Don't get me wrong though, Herky is still unbelievably sweet for an adult male ig, even though he has been a little more prone to fits of violence as of late.

he actually damaged and then lost the tip of his tail, maybe the last 1/2" of it, during LAST breeding season! The doc looked at it and said it was healing well, but sometimes if he lashes it extremely violently or hits it just right, it will bleed just a bit again. i am not looking forward to the next couple of months. . .

Actually, Merlin and Tesa, Narcy was sold to me because the rescuer was 'almost positive' that Narcy was a female (i was looking for a female ) and the vet concurred. . .oh well, que sera sera.
