I really don't know what to do anymore. This is the first year george has acted so mean during breading season. It's to the point were I cant even touch him with out him running away and getting scared and head bobbing. He tries to bite me when I hold him and I'm starting to think its not love bites. He wants to get away from me .. I cry whenever it happens because it just breaks my heart that my baby doesnt want to be near me. I really just dont know what to do...please help.

When you bring a wild animal into your home...you HAVE to understand things like this may happen. This is not a cat or a dog. Breeding season is a strong instinctual and hormonal change. This is not a behavior that can easily be modified...often it cannot be modified...period. You will have to learn to deal with this portion of George's genetic makeup for the next several months. Do not take it personally. It's not a personal attack against you. Some of the most gentle iguanas turn into real monsters during breeding season. It's we who have to learn to adjust from fall through spring. WE have to make the adjustments in how we deal with them...not try to expect the adjustments from these wild animals. At least he is not charging you in a full-out attack.
I suggest bringing a towel with you. If he begins to think he needs to charge you...toss the towel over his head. He won't attack what he cannot see...and most often they stop dead in their tracks.
However...because he is running away...this isn't typical breeding season behavior. He may just be testing you to see what he can get away with.
How old is he again?

He turned 6 this year and this isnt his first season, this is just the first one that hes really aggressive..and he does try to charge me...even when im across the room he charges me ..I just never expected it because hes has 4 years without such agression and anger. I understand that there will always be "wild" in them and that you can't truly domesticate them, I just never saw this kind of behavior from him towards anyone, especially me, and thats what's bothering me.

As male iguanas get more settled into their adulthood...they may be willing to try and test the dominant role in the house. It may be he sees himself as willing to take on that challenge. You are his top opponent. Especially if he has never seen another iguana, or it's been a very long time. He has all of these iguana behaviors he knows he supposed to use. Instinct is pushing him in that respect. You are his only outlet.
((HUGS))
Just know it's not his fault...and it's not yours...and keep your towel on you at all times when he is out and about. There may come a time when you have to cage him up...for your safety and his...until the season is over.

I keep him in his cage when I'm not home, and lately he's been in it most of the time. I let him out because i feel bad but it usually doesnt last long because he'll stalk me and try to latch on to me. When he's in his cage and I'm near it he'll charge it to try to get to me. I'm so paranoid that hes going to hurt himself or fall off of his high places to try to get to me. The towel is a good idea....I tried it and he charged it and got a hold of the towel..better the towel and not me...I think my main concern is that he wont get out of this behavior even when breading season is over...I'm afraid that he'll like being mean and just remain that way even when his hormones stop raging...and here i was thinking I got lucky having a very calm breading season male...jokes on me :-P
Thank you prism for the advice and the cyber hug..It made me feel better knowing that I wasnt doing something wrong to bring on this behavior so Thank you :-D

Chances are he'll go back to normal once his "loony time" is past. He may also be frustrated that he can't mate with his female, too. Whatever the reason...who know what you're in for. Glad the towel diverted his attention.
Do you have a "luv sock" for him? A green sock filled with rice or a stuffy lizard might help dramatically.

He has a stuffed iguana that i bought him..I cut off the eyes so he couldnt bite it off and choke..and he has access to it 24/7 and he goes at it all the time..So i dont think he has sexual frustrations

Tiki bit me yesterday..and instead of yelling "finger", it was more like "OW YOU LITTLE B@ST@rd!" then he nuzzled my hand for an eye rub!!! ...Then I went to the shelter and got to enjoy ten males in breeding season! I cried so many times last year when Tiki got hormone crazy..mostly because I was so proud of how far we had come together, and felt that there was this owner-pet connection..And ya know, there is one, but you can't change biology without making him something he's not. He is what he is, and he does what he is specially designed to do..procreate. Just be careful, just like Prism said, make sure he's healthy, and as comfortable as possible. That's the best thing you can do for him right now...pretty soon he'll be enjoying those eye rubs, and flick licking your nose again!
