Well, I havn't posted in a long time, I have been crazy trying to find a good full time job. Over 70 applications with little luck so far..... but on to Moe.
He has developed a great way of letting us know when he is either hungry, or if he did not get enough of his favorite food (butternut squash). First he will sit on his feeding shelf and glare at you every time you walk in the door.
Then, if you dont react to his "death eye" look, he will make sure you know what he wants.
Yesterday was one such day. I had run out of squash and just fed him some collard greens with red pepper and a few cherry tomatoes.... (note: no squash)
I walked into my room to get something and was getting Moe's death look, but I was busy so I left the room. A few minutes later I heard a crash and I ran into the room to see if Moe fell. He was just fine.... sitting on his shelf, with his food bowl on the ground, and had a very smug look on his little orange and green face.
He had pooped in his food bowl and then knocked it on the ground to get my attention. This isnt the first time this has happened. When my Dad takes care of him when I am out of town, Moe gets angry if we dont feed him in the morning and will knock the food bowl on the ground in protest.
I just wanted to share this amusing story.... these are some real bright animals!

Funny story...lol. Iguanas can be spiteful at times and DO react. Watch feeding tomatoes though. These are pretty highly acidic and not something an igs stomach lining was designed for...;-) How about little melon balls instead...:-D
