i have a few questions on Otis's number 2. How frequent is normal? He eats regularly, but only seems to go to the bathroom every other day. I put in him the tub every morning but some days nothin, other days he goes right away. also, regarding the tub, is it better to fill the tub and then put him in, or put him in as its filling?

LOL...its OK to call it poop. We're a strange bunch here and poop is a pretty regular topic of discussion...no biggie. It depends on the ig. Some igs poop every day, some skip a day, some skip a couple days, and others poop several times in a single day. What's important is to watch your iggy and establish what is normal for him. I think you're ok though. As for filling the tub, again, its going to depend on the ig and what he/she is used to. Some igs are freaked out by the noise of running water, others don't care at all about it. I generally put water in the tub first, and then put one of my two babies in there. The depth of the water is also variable, depending on the ig. Most feel threatened by deeper water, others love it. My big guy, Hercules, loves to swim...he swims in place of course because he's significantly longer than the bath tub. He seems to enjoy sinking to the bottom and blowing bubbles with his nose. How is the poop, BTW? Does it look normal? Feel free to post a pic if you're still worried.

Sounds very normal...:-) Zair is a daily pooper and has become pretty accomplished at volcano pooping. During times of gorging he can really erupt impressively...;-D

Depends how much their eating. Have they ever been checked for internal parasites. It's easy to do. You don't even need a vet visit to do this with the right vet. I have been able to just bring a fresh sample in and $15 later have the results. They can give you the meds, if needed, based on the creepy crawly they find.

You may want to have one done then. 3-4 times is a little excessive for most igs. If they're clear then it could just be a case of "what goes in is coming out"...:-D

I would just take one fecal in to start. Since they're both showing the same symptoms...I would say treat them the same. If one is clear...then...I hate to say assume...but that's what I'm saying...that the other is clear, too.
