hey there its been awhile.its been a roller coaster ride with her.I've moved her to a different room now.so this should make the tamming process easier for both of us.Its been a year now that I've had her and still hasn't been much change in her behaivor.I'm hoping the reloction to the spare room helps.I iggy proffed it so its easier to catch her when she gets out. www.youtube.com/watch?v=i20gUTKsH5w I know the screening has to go.So far no problems. The doors and the roof of the viv. are the only spots that have it.sould get around to that soon eh!

O.K...a couple of things here. First off...this ig looks very healthy. You're doing well with her care... ;D However...Second...chasing your ig with the video camera is not going to help socialize her. She is scared. It's your job to make sure she is not. She needs to learn to trust you, and she can't when you chase her and make her run. Third...those domes are VERY hot and can burn her while she's loose. If you're going to allow her to be in a situation where she can come in contact with these lights you need to secure a light guard of some kind over it. Wire storage crates usually work very well. You can usually find these in Lowe's and other similar places. Remember...she has to know she can trust you or you won't get anywhere... .

I figured it was just a one time thing or we would probably have seen more vids by now...:-D Zair got used to us much in the same way you are trying. We let him roam without much interaction much of the time. He would go from posturing much for a lot of that time to eventually being relaxed enough with all of us going about our normal goings on, to lounging on the sofa and tolerate...and even come to us...for handling. It took quite a few months...maybe as long as a year. Just keep pluggin' away...:-D
