Ok so I know mostly what foods I should be feeding my iguana.\
Are there any foods you should NOT feed your iguana (aside from the obvious) due to proven toxins or other issues?

Well...yes there is. Rhubarb is highly toxic. There are other foods that may not be toxic, but they have a high content of oxalates and goitrogens which can bind calcium (from oxalates) and iodine (from goitrogens). Any of the cabbage family is high in goitrogens. I just totally stay away from those, asparagus, Brussel's sprouts, and many other foods fall in the goitrogen category. Oxalates can be kale, broccoli, cilantro and more. Here's a link on hypothyroidism which is what the lack of iodine in the diet creates with a short list of foods: www.anapsid.org/iguana/hypothyroidism.html Here's another list of foods that say briefly whether it's high in goitrogens or oxalates: www.greenigsociety.org/foodchart.htm

Thanks! I just wanted to make sure I didn't feed anything that shouldn't be fed.
