Are they ok as a staple? I want to start a "garden" (indoor) and would like to grow some flowers. Outside we have a hibiscus plant that only blooms in the summer. I also am in a rural area so i pick dandelion flowers out of the yard (and greens). Yoda loves both. Should i keep it to a "summer time treat" or is it ok for them to eat flowers more often? He really likes his flowers

You can feed ig safe flowers at anytime. However since you are in a cold climate, unless you have a greenhouse you would be having to buy them at a florist or nursery. These plants have been sprayed with a chemical soup for pest and fungus control that I wouldn't trust.
