What would you do to heat up your ig if there is a power outage? Would you have to hold it or something to warm it up? I would not want it to bare the cold.

Ok two things I found on the site that would help me are blankets/towels and hot water bottles. Anything else? Thanx for all the info though I would have never thought of hot water bottles. ;D

You can also get the heat packs for hunters hands. When the power's out and you have no gas stove...or camping stove...you will have no way to heat the water. The heat packs work pretty well and can last up to 10 hours.

I have a wood stove to heat the water for the hot water bottles but heat packs would save some time. Now all I need is some thing to wake me up at night when there is a power outage. lol ;D

Wood stove, heck you just answered your own question. You can easily spike the temperature of a room with one of those. There are still people who heat with those too.
Because of the size and fule type I find them to be MUCH safer than a camp stove. I have had my Coleman tri-fule stove knocked over twice. Never had this happen with my new MSR spider type though.

Well the wood stove is not really all that close to my room even if my door was open my room would not heat up to much
