I have a 24" Zoo Med Iguana Light 5.0 in my 7' high, 5 ' wide, 4 ' deep enclosure. If this bulb is placed 12" or less from the basking spot, will this bulb provide enough UVA/UVB light?

Actually...for an ig Irwin's size...you need two 48" Reptisun 5.0s. These need to be at least 8-10" away from his back.
When you pruchase a hood, don't go for cheap. It has been tested that the cheapo hoods from Wal-Mart and such for $8 do not allow maximum UVB output. Get one of the $20 ones from Lowe's or Home Depot. It's all in the ballast of these hoods and how they allow the tubes to run at maximum effeciency.
**A hint - Line the inside of your hood with foil, shiny side out, in a curving arc. Do not follow and sharp angles. This will increase the UVB emissions by a good 20% more or less. It raised mine by 22%... ;D

I figured that it wasn't enough, but thought I'd ask anyway. I'll work on getting that for him too. Hopefully I can get it this weekend! (I get paid! ;D)
