Some of the members here belong to the meters group. For those that don't please visit www.uvguide.co.uk this is the best, latest and most complete ultraviolet reptile information site there is. It will soon be absorbed by the uvri site as well. Bobmac **The site is still being oput together. The merc vapor tests have been finished as far as UVB producing products go. There is lots of info here, too...which is worth looking through. IK...the diagram on this page ( www.uvguide.co.uk/whatisuv.htm) shows the visible light. This is what I was talking about when you had me thinking I was nuts... ;D

This site is actually the re-printing of the entire article that Frances Baines, Rachel Hitch and Rob Lane did for Reptile Care magazine, published in the UK.
Reptile Care's Editor decided that the complete article was just too in-depth and complicated for the reading public and had them pare it down significantly.
After so many months of hard work and testing it simply wasn't fair that the complete article wasn't published, so they decided to publish it to the web, in it's complete form.
It is arguable the most complete and comprehensive study of reptile lighting and UVB performed to date. Consider it "Everything you ever wanted to know about UVB and reptile lighting".
I highly recommend it, for what that's worth.

The uvguide link has it right, but I DID see a few out there that had it wrong, which, I think, may have led to the confusion.
