At night time what should i do for lighting? My iguana is kept in my room so i dont want to keep its normal light on because it is too bright, so i just put a black light on. What should i do?

Iguanas don't want the light on all night any more than you would. If the temperature doesn't fall below 70-75 degrees at night no supplemental heat is needed.

If he gets a bit chilly and he has a special spot where he likes to sleep you could get a clamp lamp which is specifically made for ceramic heat emitters and get a 40 watt ceramic bulb to put above him while he sleeps. If he sleeps anywhere in your room then I would suggest a fan heater (in a place he cannot reach of course)to heat the room if it gets too cold, the only problem you'd have there is you would be too warm! lol But at least he would be snuggly. I would go against base heaters or the heaters which have a coil/ceramic inside (it turns bright orange when heating) would be a bit dangerous because sometimes iguanas like to climb them or lay up against them which would give serious burns. Eventually he will probably just sleep on you and take your heat.

A human heating pad under him when he sleeps can help also. But, like Merlin said, if your room temps are at least in the low 70's at night, he won't need any other heating while he sleeps. Its during his active hours that he needs the higher temperatures. Also, any kind of visible light at night will disturb his sleep and affect his mental stability. Igs who sleep with lights on them tend to get a little crazy.
