Hey everybody. I have a question about dorsal spikes. When Zilla goes spazzo or decides to death roll when he doesn't want to be held, he sometimes bends or breaks the top of his dorsal spikes. Is this normal? I was also wondering if the top of his spikes that have been broken will grow back? And if they do, is there anything I can do to speed up the healing process? Thanks for any and all input.

Broken spikes do sometimes grow back. Zair has several that are very slowly growing, but doubt they will come back to that pre-break look.
If your ig death rolls...hold him/her tightly so this doesn't happen. Zair still tries to death roll when I bring him in from outside. He's 4'stl. I hold him very close to my side being firm in my grip, but not so much that he gets injured.
While he is sitting on one arm (covered with an arm gaurd) with his tail between my arm and side, chest in the palm of my hand with arms hanging over the ends of my fingers with my pointer and ring fingers "harnessed" up the front of his chest, I am also holding him with the other hand on top of his back.
It's a lot easier to show a pic...but I don't have one easy to get to right now. On a disk somewhere.
I'll try to get one tomorrow.
Healing process...neosporin will work fine.
