Im afraid his kidneys are failing, he has all the symptoms my last Ig did right before he passed away, for 2 days now he is not pooping, just oozing out all clear with very little to no urates. and doing it frequently and his belly is swollen I dont know he just isnt his fiesty self. Im considering having him euthanized, maybe he would be better off not going through anymore hell just to try to get healthy? any opinions? I want to do whats best.

Did you have his belly x-rayed at your last vet visit? Maybe he is impacted from swallowing something he shouldn't have.

Whoops, sorry. I have things all jumbled up in my head. An x-ray on the belly is something to think about though when your vet appointment comes. I know that euthanasia is not an easy decision, so the x-ray is just another option to think about when you visit the vet.

My husband and I have decided to euthanize we dont want him to suffer anymore Im pretty sure that he would be better off. I already watched 1 of my Iguanas go through kidney failure I dont want Loki to go through it, it was awefull. And Loki has the same symptoms.

OK, I support that decision. I'm not there, so I can only offer opinions and different perspectives. I guess I didn't have things confused before, because I had read that Loki had a swollen leg and the vet said there was no break. That's why I asked about the x-rays. Aside from the change in behavior, what you are describing can be symptoms of any number of different things.

ok here is the run down Loki Has MBD the guy that I rescued him from told me that he had him a little over a year and the pet store person told him that Iguanas dont drink water so no need to offer him any, all he fed him was bok-choy, no type of uvb lighting and to use a heat rock. I am so supprised Loki lived this long. So it is probably more than kidney failure going on. I am no expert, I havent been keeping reptiles long but I do research, and I pay attention to those who have experience so I have been picking up Information. But with his care history Along with the symptoms. That is Iggy with the Injured leg, we have 3 altogether. Iggy, Cleo, and Loki. thanks for trying to help , we have decided to go ahead and euthanize. After watching my other Ig go from seemingly healthy to death in a week and he seemed like he was in such pain and torture when he started having seizures, (we had him only a month) I dont want that for Loki. thanks for your time

I know you have had to make a pretty hard decision...I've been there...many times. There's greener grass and a brighter sun where special igs go...:-)
