I've seen much worse. But steps need to be taken to assure that it can't happen again. The standard treatment for burns is silvadene ointment. But you have to get it from a vet.

Not all vets carry it. I had my vet special order it. No vets in a 100 mile radius had any. Those should heal well. Each shed you will notice it being a little less.

Great news...:-) Small burns heal pretty quickly with no serious problems. It may take a few months, but you may not see any signs at all after awhile.

His burns have healed. there is a bit of scarring though. His spikes are still falling off. . I believe its a case of retained shed, but I dont under stand how that happened considering I check him when he is done to make sure its all off so Ive benn using mineral oil on them and hopefully I can get them fully shed and growing back.

50% should I raise it? I give baths and spray their food. Hes the only one I have a shed problem with. And its only the spikes.

If you can get periods of 60-80% this is in the suggested range for igs anyway. Not everyone can achieve these numbers, though. Many are lucky to get 50%. Is he closer to a floor register than the rest...closer to a drafty area maybe?
