What does everyone have in the way of wall sealant on the interior of your igs homes? I know Yoda has a shower enclosure, but what does everyone else use, if any? I used some non-toxic Skid Not acrylic paint from lowes and Dudley climbs it like spider man.

I have switched to using a cloth cage over a PVC frame but when I was using luan or 1/4" ply I used oil and wax if anything.
Rag on mineral oil (the same stuff as you would use on a chopping block) to sanded clean dry wood -- 2, 3, 5 coats whatever. It is fine to stop with this or you can continue on with a few coats of wax -- rag it on and buff it off.
Either method will work alone also.

Iggy has a cages by design and he has rocks to climb and the walls are sealed with something, I can't remember without getting the papers for the cage.
Bam-Bam has a vynal covered wire mesh that she can climb in her enclosure and Miss Zak has a large kennel that she lives in because she is so old and can no longer climb....... but she tries.
We have a blanket and a sheet draped across the outside of Miss Zak's enclosure and Bam-Bam's enclosure to hold in heat and humidity.

Gil's in a *gasp* aquarium. NO, it's not a 20 gallon tank . It's a 250 gallon tank that's 7 feet long; the problem is that it's only 18 inches tall (but it's up on a stand so at least he's not on the floor). When we move (at the end of June) we'll be building him a more appropriate enclosure... and I'll be facing this same question. At this point I'm thinking about painting a tropical mural with kid safe paint and sealing it with polyurethane. But I haven't decided for sure yet.

Anything that is water-based will be fine. Lowe's is getting away from oil-based paints of anykind and will soon carry ONLY water-base paint products.

Thank you, Supreme Member, for your wonderful words of wisdom...
AHEM... seriously V, I'm glad to know that anything water-based is OK to use.
