Here is a quick odor control idea that I have been using for a while and thought I should share.
Take an old bandana or other lightweight scrap of fabric and pour about half a small box of baking soda in the middle. Fold or pull up on the corners around the pile and sinch it closed just above the soda with a slip knot in some medium weight string. You now have a loose sac of odor absorbent powder. Use the string to hang it under a basking shelf.
Total time and cost: about 5 minutes and less than a dollar.
Every once and a while squeeze it a few times to bring fresh powder to the edge of the cloth. I have had one in my cage for about 3 months and it has worked great.

Great idea Mark as long as the ig can't get at it. Luckily Zok is tub trained so odor isn't really a problem here. Now the snakes are another matter!

Notice how I hang it under the shelf.
Bob is trained to go outside and won't go in his cage. This may become a problem in the winter. It will still help with the random odors and those from the room -- like my laundry basket of work cloths and my steel toe boots.

A quick side bar on odor. If your ig has a strong odor when it defecates, this is a strong indication that your ig may be wormy. Igs poop usually doesn't have a very strong smell.
