Hi will be doing my new viv for my iggy kiwi in the next couple of weeks, kiwi is 18" STL and the viv is an old wordrobe measuring 6x4x2,
I would like to put real plants in the viv with my iggy, is this possible?? What plants can i put in??
Or is it better to just have fake plants in it?
Thank u all, jason and kiwi.

I would personally suggest fake plastic plants (silk ones don't last that long) but if you wanna take a look at non-toxic plants take a look here www.anapsid.org/resources/edible.htmlI would personally find it hard to keep them in "plant" form because iguanas eat so much that you'd likely have nothing but stems (I have one such "plant) lol The other thing to consider is the fact that Kiwi will be inclined to wanna climb them so something sturdy would be a good thing to have. Either way, go to a gardening store and compare the list to whats in stock and take a look see. Maybe you'll find somethin that suits your fancy. I just like to keep my plants away from my guy, he's quite the menace when it comes to plants. My ficus has made is through so much abuse it's not funny (well, really it kinda is) Have fun plannin and be sure to share pics.

hi jason... ive put fakes in my viv, and my iggy has been inside for no more than 8 weeks!!!! and all that is left are the vines that wrap around the branches he has stripped them by just climbing up and down to get to his food, there are no leaves left whatso ever so it can be costly trying to keep up with fakes aswell lol

Unfortunately the nature of an iguana pretty much makes live plants in an enclosure an impossibility. Unless you like buying and replacing the plants every week or so.
