I am wanting to put in a humidifier and am wondering what you guys think about a certain one? It is at this website www.air-n-water.com/product/win638P.htmlPlease give me some feedback, weather you guys think it will be good or bad for her cage.

VERY pretty...but not very practical being a decorative item. We have one of those and the bowls are never fixed onto the stand. Several of the parts are not fixed actually. The main bowl, the "mister" and a smaller upside down bowl for the mist to collect and spread out from under. This would be a disaster... . What many ig keepers use are cool mist vaporizers. I was using a warm mist vaporizer, but now have a waterfall that keeps the humidity up to 60%, thereabouts, most of the day. Just had to put it in a "safety cage" around the vaporizer because the steam is pretty hot. Now I have this: There are also a couple of mister plans if you're handy (and you look like you just might be). www.baskingwonders.com/automatedmistingsystem_free.pdfWhatever you choose...it needs to be sturdy enough for an iguana. .. .

Just make sure the ig can't get to the steam vent if you go with the heated one. Cold air vaporizers are good, too. You just need to watch the temps until you figure out where they'll be if any heat adjusting is needed.
That water fall I have uses a large pond pump. It's an outside garden waterfall that stands close to 3' tall. For the small ones...there are smaller pumps available, but I would have to do some searching. You may be able to have the same luck if you know what kind of waterfall it is. Just search for that pump and "*pump name* replacement parts" in the search box.

You can find replacement pumps at Lowes or Home Depot in the garden section.

I'm thinking pighunter has a small waterfall...like those made for small reptile vivs. I'm sure we can be enlightened. I don't think Lowe's has pumps for that small of a waterfall, do they?

how yall heard of an item such as Repta-Aid? Since she's eating on her own...let her keep eating the fresh stuff. Flukers is pretty well known for having some pretty questionable supplies...some downright unhealthy. I don't know a whole lot about this stuff...so I prefr to err on the side of caution.

From the product description the stuff is more or less like Pedialyte that we give to children with diarreah or vomiting problems. Try looking in the bird section for Nutribac. And I would think that the replacement pumps that go for small table top fountains would work for the waterfall. These I have seen there for about 20 dollars.

Since it was the Critical Care stuff...I likened it more to the Oxbow Critical Care supplement. It's more than just a Pedialyte type supplement. It's a vitamin enriched powdered slurry you mix with water to the right consistency. Oxbow...there is no better. Flukers...very questionable just because of the name. It may be a decent product, but I've not heard any reviews on it or anyone who's actually used it.
