hi everyone im new to this site and i have owned my iggy for 2 years about a year ago i moved him into a dog cage but custom made for an iguana lol how much longer u think he can live in here until i need to build a custom one here is a pic of it

how big is your iguana? just from looking i would say its too small upgrade as soon as you can make a cage out of PVC pipe and mesh its cheap there's 100's of cage plans go to www.iguanaden.org they have some. got a closet you don't use? you can make a cage out of that pretty easy give us the dimension of the cage if you can and the length of the iguana

She's definitely ready for larger living arrangements. With her size now...you may as well think about an adult enclosure. This will save you from building two cages. It needs to be about 6'T x 6'L x 3'D. Of course, if you have the room...the bigger the better. She obviously comes out for exercise...so you could get away with even 5'L.
She also looks like she may be the right size for becoming gravid. If you haven't done so already...read up on it and prepare... ;D. It's not a big deal if you're prepared, but it can be if you're not. How big is her svl?

I'm with Prism in that she's definitely ready for something more adult. (aww baby's growin up) Take a look in the housing section for ideas people have posted. Its very inspirational.
