O.K....first you have to use your grammar a little better to understand you!! It doesn't have to be perfect...but a period at the end of sentences would be VERY helpful. If you want a book, there is an old one I got for free probably 20 years ago when I thought building a fish tank would be a lot of fun. I never got past the book being brought home...;-) There's also a very nice book called "Encyclopedia or Terrarium" by Eugene Bruins I bought off of half.com. Very nice ideas and a basic outline for building your own. Other sites you may be able to find some real help is here: ecoterrariumsupply.com/diy-cage-building-instructions.phpwww.herpcenter.com It should be a challenging project. You'll have to make sure you get some pictures...:-) It's essential to use a sealer that's non-toxic, which is a no-brainer, but you also have to keep in mind that the heat of the lamps may cause the sealer to "cure" some more causing toxic vapors to be released again once the initial drying period is over. So once you go through the initial cure time...set the lights up and allow the new cure time to dissipate the fumes. The amount of plexi you use will determine how big you tank will be. Since a 50 gallon is the recommended size (or a 40 gal. breeder...I only have measurements for the 50. Two end walls 18 x 18, front and back walls 36 x 18, base 18 3/4 x 36. If you lay it in a pattern with the base down and each wall sitting as it would if it were glued, but you'll hold it together with

If I remember correctly a 55 measures 48*18*20. I may be off a few inches.
You'd actually save more money buying a used 55 gallon than making one. You can get a used one at minnfish.com for around 50 bucks only. They are really nice over there. Unless you plan to make something huge, then custom building your plexi glass tank would be the way to go.

Got it. 50 Gallon -- 36x18x18 55 Gallon -- 48x13x20 75 E Gallon-- 48x18x20 You're talking about a 50, not a 55. But I actually got the dimensions of a 75 . I'd still highly suggest getting a used tank instead of making one unless you just want to make it for fun or customizing it for a certain spot in your house. I remember a few months ago they were selling a used 150 gallon tank for 150 bucks. That was a deal.
