last Friday i got to the conclusion that my Iguana is too big for its terrarium,so i decided to build it larger terrarium.I went to the hardware shop and bought some wood Screws bolts ,planks ect...And started working.Total price of it all 200 dollars without the glass. After 3 hours of work the frame took shape and the first step was completed.

After 5 hours of work Only thing left is to mount on the glass and assemble the remaining pieces so it would look nicer. All the lamps and the humidifier are installed. The interior will have to wait a few days because i have to find a place where i can buy a water heater for the small pool. I'll post the pic when i install everything.

ARGH...it will have to wait until I get home. I really need to set up a proxy server so I can see all these pics at work!

Very nice! 2 questions however: -What is the bag of stuff on the floor of the viv? If it's substrate to be used inside, pitch it and exchange for newspaper (inked or un-printed) it is highly efficient and doesn't cause impaction. - Is the side closed up with plexi or something (I can't tell from the pics)? If it is open, does your iguana have free roam? They can get into (and get you into) a lot of trouble that way, many hazards when unattended. Cool place you've built though, might want to add a little platform at the basking site if you've got a big iggy. A lot of iguana's prefer the added "lazing" space to lay on. ;D

VERY nice!! That is a wonderful enclosure!! Your ig will be very happy here. You'll have to get a few shots of him in his new digs... ;D.
I definitely agree with the substrate. Newspaper...or astroturf even...are better choices. Ig's tongues are sticky and explore everything with it. Very often the tongue pics this stuff up...they ingest it...it becomes impacted sometimes needing surgery...sometimes killing the ig.
How do you have it vented? It looks like it will hold in the heat and humidity very well...but there needs to be some air flow.

Ok,sorry everyone for the delay my PC's motherboards bios memory malfunctioned so i had to buy a new one.OK,back to the Viv,the bag on the floor is minced wood and mixed with sawdust(big pieces). I have finished the Viv and dismantled to put it up together in my living room.So this is how it looks now.

The humiditor is in the left corner and the ventilation fan is placed in the right corner .

Looks pretty nice. The "minced wood mixed with sawdust" still needs to go away! There is still too much danger of the ig swallowing it.
