LOL James-
Sorry, wasn't dissing you. I've just been very, very, very busy lately. My computer time has been severely cut, as I'm sure Tesa will attest to! LOL
I think you did a fantastic job on this enclosure James! The Shower Stall idea is just terrific. It's large enough, and maintains the heat and humidity in an environment that was made just for that purpose. It's sheer genius!
Also, I think the "climbing tree" made from large diameter PVC piping is, well, sheer genius! ;D As soon as I saw it, I wanted to copy it.
I've been pricing Cat Towers for Rex to replace the cage he only sits on top of for the last 2 years. Once I saw your Tower, I said THAT'S IT!!!!
Overall, the price is right, the environment is stable, it is aesthetically pleasing, you have full access to the cage interior, and if you plumb the drain and install a supply line, you could actually flush out the cage with a hand sprayer, and all the poopy stuff just goes down the drain!
You've done a terrific Job with it James, and inspired me to create my own PVC sculpture for Rex.
Well done my friend!
Feel better now? LOL
Seriously, great job! I bet Yoda just loves it!

Ok I feel better now .... Thumbs up from Dom and Tesa .. ;D and even more important YODA,,,,,,, Seriously though I realy have grown to respect your opinions ... I did recieve some comments from other sites lfrom people feeling it wasnt enough in length (it is almost 5 feet at the front but does taper into the corner) ...however like I explained this is not a JAIL I plan on keeping Yoda in it all the time It is a place to relax and get UV during the winter and sleep at night till he grows up...and it will do fine I think If I have no choice but to get a sitter for a few days... I leave the door open and he will just go on in on his own and come out as he pleases. He sure seems to like it in there and even with the door open he just climbs around his tree and lays around ... will come out for a little bit but goes right back in on his own,,, Thank you. James and Yoda

Well James on the size of your cage you are correct.
I have one in the same design but, maybe, a little larger out of PVC and fabric housing a 50" STL, 15" SVL male. Mine is 45" along the walls and 72" tall.
I leave the bottom of the door open all day but Bob wonders out very little. He knows that is his space and why would he want to leave it.
I love the tree you built. What did you use? Right now I use the typical ladders, ramps, and nets in my ig-condo.

Thanks Mar..
I used pvc plumbing pipe(elbows ect.) covered in indoor/outdoor carpeting for the whole tree...
The platforms are 3/4" plywood supported by PVC toilet fittings...
I have found the same with Yoda ...I can leave the door open and he just stays put...even when I insist he comes out for some bonding time ...as soon as he hits the floor ....he heads for the Lair...
I am glad he has taken so well to the new enclosure.
Cheers

I like your enclosure a lot, James. In fact, if I don't buy a larger home this spring, I'll probably build something similar. Gil's currently in a 7' long, 250 gallon aquarium. It's plenty big for him (for now) but it won't be in about 6 months.
Thanks for all the pics you posted, too.

James! I have finally seen all your pics. I love Yoda and the enclosure you made for him. It seems to be right in YOUR living space and I think that's wonderful. I agree with what Dom has said. Lots of creative genius! ;D
I saw a few red xs in a few of your posts. If I deleted any of your pics by mistake I am sick about it. I tried to be careful to only delete mine, but things happen quickly on the internet and maybe.... I sure hope not, though.
Dear special friend, you have created some wonderful things that I'm going to copy for Will.
Thanks!
