Hi Patrick-
Thanks for visiting IZ.
I'm curious about your statement "I've seen good info and bad". Do you mean here or the internet in general? Please clarify that. We work hard to keep the info here current and accurate. If we overlooked something, please let me know.
Welcome to the Zone.

Hi Patrick. Glad you're here. I love Hatfield's book, but wasn't on the AIML when all the UVB talk was going on. I'd like to see you post something in the lighting section here. (if you haven't already)

There's an excellent yahoo group that gives THE MOST updated info on uvb emitting bulbs and tubes. Even the bulb makers have been joining this group to see how they can better make their bulbs. Capture the Sun really needs the help...oops...did I just name a name?? Anyway...it's groups.yahoo.com/group/UVB_Meter_Owners/. It's not just for UVB meter owners. Anyone who is interested in the latest on UVB specs and findings is welcome. There's a wealth of info in the files section.

Hi Folks-
Ditto Veronicas post. It's a great place to learn the intimate details of UVB lighting.
Bobmac has written an article that was published in the IIS Magazine. It's all about UVB and specific bulb readings. You can see his article at the UVB e-group. Very interesting read.

Be prepared .....it's not an article you can just zip right through. Gotta turn on the brain before you start ;D

Welcome Patrick! I may seem new but have been around for a while looking over my husband's shoulder (Dominick) as he is typing away. I think he is glad I'm going it on my own now. This is a great site and the folks here are great! Enjoy!
